How To Use The App

Overview of the App

This app is designed to:

• Process transportation cost data and price lists.
• Generate detailed scenario-based cost optimization insights.
• Help you select the most cost-efficient transportation modes, carriers, and routes.
• Provide AI-generated executive summaries and actionable recommendations.

The app follows a structured workflow to process your data and generate optimized results.

1. Login Page

Landing Page: When you access the app, the first screen is the Login Page. Click Start to begin. The app creates a unique session folder to store your uploaded and processed files.

2. Dashboard

After logging in, you will be redirected to the Dashboard. The Dashboard serves as a central hub to navigate to various tools and sections, such as:

• Historic Data Upload
• Scenario Processing
• TMS Integration
• Implementation Page
• Tools and Collection

3. Historic Data Upload

Go to the Historic section to upload your transportation cost file.

Required File Format:

• The file must be in Excel (.xlsx) format.
• Include columns like Shipment ID, Carrier, Mode, Source/Destination Details, Weight, Volume, Total Cost, etc.

Once uploaded, the app validates the file for required columns and prepares it for further analysis.

4. Load and Process Results

In the Load Results section:

• Upload your Historic Cost File and Carrier Price List Files.
• The app processes these files to calculate recalculated costs and generates 6 scenario files:
• Scenario 1: Best Carrier
• Scenario 2: Carrier Route Optimization
• Scenario 3: Best Carrier Per Mode
• Scenario 4: Mode Route Optimization
• Scenario 5: Best Movement Type
• Scenario 6: Movement Route Optimization

You can view the processed data and download the scenario files.

5. Implementation Page

The Implementation Page provides:

• Preprocessed data ready for AI summarization.
• AI-generated Executive Summary highlighting cost savings, carrier efficiency, and actionable insights.
• Scenario tables for analysis and downloads.

6. TMS Implementation

In the TMS Implementation Page:

• Upload or select a scenario file.
• Add additional details like Domain ID, Currency, Effective Date, and Expiration Date.
• The app processes the file to generate clean, structured data files compatible with TMS systems.

You can download the processed output as CSV files.

7. Tools Page (Mapping Tool)

Use the Tools Page to:

• Map your uploaded Excel file's columns to the required app format.
• Validate and enhance data with correct column structure.
• Download the customized, enhanced data file.

8. Collection Page

In the Collection Page, you can:

• Download the Data Collection Template to prepare your data.
• Upload the completed template for processing.

9. AI Assistant

Access the AI Assistant for:

• Quick insights and answers related to your transportation data.
• Help with app navigation and troubleshooting.

Key Features

• Session Management: Each user gets a unique folder for their files, ensuring data privacy.
• Automatic Cleanup: Expired user data is deleted after 30 minutes of inactivity.
• Scenario Generation: The app dynamically creates scenarios to optimize costs across carriers, modes, and movement types.
• AI Insights: An Executive Summary is generated to help you make data-driven decisions.

Tips for Best Usage

• Data Preparation: Use the provided template for uploading files to avoid validation errors.
• File Validation: Ensure the uploaded files contain required columns like Shipment ID, Total Cost, and Rate Geography.
• Regular Save: Download processed files regularly to avoid data loss due to session expiration.
• Navigation: Use the Dashboard to access different sections of the app.

Troubleshooting

If an error occurs during upload, check:

• File format (must be .xlsx).
• Required columns are present in your file.

If scenario files are not generated, ensure the historic cost file and price lists are correctly uploaded.
